I've been waiting months to find this dresser!

So when Justin & I got married in October we didnt really have much furniture.  We started by making our own headboard...and went to target for a quick cheap dresser... Well lets just say *CHEAP* was the only way to describe the dresser we brought home.  Justin hated it from day 1 because it came in a million pieces he had to put together--but then seeing ever drawer break within 2 weeks, he really hated it!.  So my sweet dad bought us a nice new dresser for christmas--but i needed a chest of drawers to match.  So for months I stalked craigslist, the good will store and the salvation army store.. no luck.  UNTILL a few weeks ago the goodwill store had EXACTLY what I needed.. and for only 25$!

Sorry I forgot to take pics before I started sanding ( which i HATE more than anything in the world!)  But after some sanding, painting, and destressing I ended up with...
and the finished chest of drawers...

I still want to get some cute new handles for it, but even at target they are 14$ for only 4... and i need 10 so for now ill just stick with these!

Amazingly beautiful! How so you get the distress look?

Vanessa- For the distressed look I just sand it down some to show some of the paint/ wood underneath and also use a very little amount of a highlight color (white on this dresser) to accent the "worn out" edges. Hope that helps!
